This is a cheap, easy, and more effective alternative to the M8 Smoke Grenade the US Soldiers use in tactical ops. Do the cooking with a kitchen oven, candles DO NOT work at all, and camping stoves are better but hazardous. Filmcans work, but aren't the best because of the plastic and the small size. The best container seems to be small glass jars. Fuses are probably the hardest part, if you can use bought fuses. If not the best is to pour sterno over the top and light it, this will have an unpredictable time delay, below is a video of a quick howto on making a simple orange smoke bomb.
